"Therefore, let us visibly show great faith as we take part in this procession, and let us say over and over again to ourselves what the prince of the apostles said, 'You are the Christ, Son of the living God'"
- Blessed Basil Moreau (sermon on the Eucharistic procession of Corpus Christi)
Prayer Resource
Here is a short prayer to the Holy Spirit, composed by St. Augustine, whose feast day is celebrated this Monday:
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, That my thoughts may all be holy.
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, That my work, too, may be holy.
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, That I love but what is holy.
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, To defend all that is holy.
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, That I always may be holy
Prayer Intention
Let us pray for the ten men who professed perpetual vows in the Congregation of Holy Cross at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, August 26th, 8 of whom are also to be ordained as deacons on Sunday, August 27th.
"I will give thanks to you, O LORD, with all my heart,
for you have heard the words of my mouth;
in the presence of the angels I will sing your praise;
I will worship at your holy temple."
Psalm 138:1-2
