IN THE PARISH
THANK YOU to all who volunteered and helped out with Kingsfest and the Parish Picnic last week! Both events were a great success in drawing our Christ the King community together as a parish family!
Our welcome desk has shrunk, but we still have one in the door #16 entryway (on the south side of the Church building). This will be where we put our date sensitive pamphlets and information while the front doors are closed.
Please remember to fill out this Adult Faith Formation Survey! While you may not be able to participate in many events due to family obligations or other commitments, we value your input.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Many of you have probably noticed that our iconic Christ the King statue has been removed from above the main entrance for the Church. He was taken down on Wednesday for cleaning and safe storage, but He shall rise again, and we will see Him front and center in the new vestibule!
The same is true of the white Christ the King statue from in front of the rectory.
"A little while, and you will no longer see me, and again a little while and you will see me." - John 16:16.
During this time of construction, access to the rectory office can be obtained from the State Road 933 north parking lot entry. Limited parking is available. If possible, park near the construction fence. If mobility is an issue, there is handicap parking near the new portion of the sidewalk.

IN HOLY CROSS
Congratulations to Tyler Kreipke, C.S.C., who spent his last year as a seminarian-in-residence at Christ the King, and who joins nine other men of Holy Cross today (Aug 26th) in professing perpetual vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Following profession of final vows and ordination to the transitional diaconate, Tyler will serve at the University of Portland. The Mass can be viewed via livestream at livestream.holycrossusa.org.

Our annual parish picnic will take place on Sunday, August 20th!
